Moderated comments

When I was just browing through some blogs of friends, I realized that many of them have started moderating their readers’ comments. When I try to post a comment, either it doesn’t display my comment or it clearly says that my comment will be read by the administrator before it being published in the site.

While the administrators of such blogs will have very good reasons for moderating the comments with the quality of comments that they receive, I somehow cannot stand the idea of my comments being moderated. So, I have decided not to comment on the blogs that moderate comments, not as a protest but because I don’t like the idea. Not that it is going to make a lot of difference to those individuals, but just wanted to pen my thoughts down.

  1. Just wait to be inundated with 300+ spams containing some of the most ugliest words you have heard of…Then, you will understand the logic behind the “moderation” buddy…Everyone has a good enough reason :)

  2. I use the same theme what you have but I see that the page does not get loaded fullu and it gets stuck half way.I can see from your blog also.Is that something to do with the basic theme design itself.Please let me know if you have any idea on this.

  4. Hello….have you ever been spamed with rude and offensive comments which can make you and your readers uncomforatble? Everyone has a very good reason to moderate their comments but its your call :D

  5. Guys, don’t blast me. Agreed that you have a reason. Don’t get me wrong. I just wrote what I felt when I commented on 2 blogs and both were moderated.
