Actor Siddharth
“Immensely articulate”. That’s how Rajeev Masand of CNN-IBN described Siddharth after this (the text and video do not contain the full interview that was telecast) interview. I agree. I was witness to the sales pitch he unleashed in Infosys Hyderabad after “Rang de Bansanti” was screened there sometime early this year. I bet none of current actors can talk the way he does. That he has a Marketing MBA clearly shows. He promotes the movie (indirectly promoting himself), calls it a sensation in a way nobody can disagree, strikes a chord with the predominantly Telugu audience (his first telugu movie was running to packed houses at that time) and generally talks with such conviction that it’s hard to believe he’s just 5 films old.
Among actors who’ve done only a handful of movies, he probably has the best resume - MBA from SP Jain, assistant director to Mani Ratnam (whom he calls his boss) and a movie as an actor with him (”Ayudha Ezhuthu“, “Yuva“’s tamil version), debut with the much-acclaimed director Shankar in “Boys” (which was rightly rejected by most sections, so much so that Genelia who was christened as Harini both in the movie and for the Tamil audience, rechristened herself to her original name, Genelia Desouza, when she appeared for her next Tamil movie “Sachein” so that the public don’t associate her with her first Tamil movie), two big hits in telugu (”Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana“, and “Bommarilu“) and of course the film that, according its promoters, created a sensation and is also the official Indian entry to the foreign category films for the Oscar, RDB. Never mind the fact that, other than RDB, he played the same chocolate boy hero role in all his movies.
He claims in the interview that in addition to just acting, he also wants to take over part of marketing of the films, which his directors have agreed to. He calls himself a versatile actor - both in terms of the languages in which he’s acted and the roles he’s got.
Wonder why he’s not getting more Tamil offers. Probably, tamil directors are confused with his offer for marketing the films. He must keep his demands very simple for them, just like Vijay does - 3 fights, 4 songs with 1 gaana, opportunity to dance in 3 of those songs and 1 romantic song shot in an exotic locale, 1 amma sentiment before interval, 1 thangachi sentiment after interval and 3 punch dialogues facing the villain and the camera

Very very talented, wonderful expressions, THE BEST in all his movies 100/100
To me, some of his best are Ayutha Ezhuthu & Boys. Oh! I have watched all of his telugu movies as well though I don’t understand Telugu, and including Blood Brothers. my pending list is Striker & Oy 
wish we can see him more in tamil movies. Mani Sir, please do more movies with Siddharth
