New job, new place

I wish I wrote more regularly in my blog. So many things have happened after my last post. I resigned from my previous company and joined my current employer mid-June. I am not new to my current employer, having worked with this company for four years before deciding to pursue my MBA.

A fortnight into my new job, I have been posted for a short assignment in Appleton, Wisconsin. I must say I am thoroughly enjoying my stay here in Appleton. This place is a very small, laid back town and has preserved the charm of the America of the sixties and the seventies. In fact, a month ago we had been to a museum that had pictures of Appleton in the thirties and my friend observed from the picture that, except for the cars, nothing much had changed in seven decades in this place :) .

As is the case with mid west, people here are very friendly. My condo complex consists of a lot of elderly couples who always mix with everyone well. I also have been here at a very good time - the weather has mostly been amazing. Moreover, this place is full of lakes and rivers allowing us to spend some good time in their banks or beaches as they call them here.

I hope to write more about my trips to Chicago and other places through next week.
